1001 Organic ist ein Social Enterprise und steht für die verantwortungsvolle Produktion von hochqualitativen Bio-Gewürzen, dessen Produktion sich bis zu den einzelnen Kleinbauern rückverfolgen lässt. Der ökologische Anbau, welcher im Einklang mit einer intakten Natur sowie der fairen und nachhaltigen Zusammenarbeit mit den Farmerkooperativen steht, ist unser Anspruch an die entwicklungsorientierte Tätigkeit.
Gewürze
Pemba ist die zweitgrößte Insel des Sansibar Archipels und liegt nördlich von Unguja. Die sogenannte „grüne Insel“ eignet sich aufgrund des tropisch-feuchten Klimas, der besonderen Topographie und dem fruchtbaren Boden speziell für den Anbau von Bio-Gewürzen. In den tropischen Mischwäldern Sansibars lassen sich neben Pfeffer, Nelken und Zimt eine Vielzahl von Gewürzen finden. Das Vertrauen in ursprüngliche Sorten sowie die enge Zusammenarbeit mit Kleinbauern ist maßgebend für die Frische und Intensität unserer Gewürze.

Das Herzstück von 1001 Organic sind unsere Kleinbauern. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit über 100 registrierten Farmerfamilien möchten wir einen Beitrag zur Verbesserung ihres Lebensstandards leisten.
